Pop Opera „Eine Tasse Kaffee“

A Cup of coffee

Pop opera in two acts

The idea for this pop opera came from Mr. Sami Memili and Mr. Temel Nal, who have been friends for years. The topics of migration and education, which never lose their topicality, the importance of holding on to one’s visions and dreams and fighting for them despite all adversities were to be brought closer to the people in a musical work. And the Fondation founder Sami Memili’s own life story was taken as the basis for this.

The opera singers and musicians Selena and Mert Gökhan Öztaner could be won as composers and lyricists. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of ARCORA International GmbH, they wrote, composed and set to music a first version of this work entitled „EINE TASSE KAFFE“ over a period of almost three years.
